Football Update
In an earlier post, I mentioned that I do tech work for my high school alma mater. We (#72 in the nation) played our in-town rivals (#5 in the nation) last night in front of a crowd of approx. 12 to 14 thousand–official count still unavailable.
We’re leading 6 to 3 with four minutes to go in the 3rd Q. We line up to punt and they block it on our own 10-yard line. Our defense holds, but they kick the field goal, tying the game 6 to 6. They run the hook and lateral and score. We return the favor. They score again in the middle of the 4th Q. We respond with our own TD. The difference in the game: They make both their extra points; we make one of three. The final: They beat us 20 to 19. They extend their streak to 50 straight wins. Highlights will soon be here, the Website of William Blount High School, run by myself.
