Progressive is regressive

Today’s “Progressives” seek a return to the status and static society in which the few direct and “protect” the many. That, of course, is the opposite of genuine progress.

More unintended consequences

I first ran across this article a few years back. Those interested in Sudanese slavery or how policies with good intentions can often have unintended consequences will find this a good read (about 9 full pages).
